Windows 8.1

Blender Version
Broken: 2.70a
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
Simple close Blender!

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Please, see the file below and try to make a face in that 4 vertex in front of building. Simple close Blender! And I don't know why the faces is that way, noises when we see around.

Event Timeline

Seems the file has been corrupted somehow. There are 4 vertices but also 4 edges. So there are two times two identical edges. What you can do is

  1. select one edge
  2. delete it. There should be one left at the same location
  3. Select the edge on the other side and do the same

Now creating a face works.

The mesh is corrupt,
closing

the bug may be that you could create such a mesh in the first place.
if you can use blender to make such a mesh this should be reported separately.

Yes, I know.. I understand you want help me.
I am not a programmer, but I think this is a bug, because I made a lot of things in the real file I was working, and Blender simply closed. This mesh was created based on a imported .svg file, because I can't import .dxf as before.
Thank you for your help, but this is or not a bug? I just want to help because with my over 12 years of experience in Blender I solved a lot of other problems I had in Blender. This is not the only one bug that I find in this Blender version. Example: I can't render a building scene in image editor using Cycles. How I solved? Rendering 4 times in 3d view. But what you think about somebody that don't have experience? They should be crazy in forums searching solutions.
I think Blender should notify me about mesh, and not only closing making me lost my work made before.
In this only one message you can find 3 errors:
1 - Blender close because corrupt mesh;
2 - Blender can't render a big scene by image editor window;
3 - Blender can't import some .DXF files.

If you provide the svg file, the devs can check whether it's an import issue on Blender's site.
For other issues, if you think it's a problem in Blender, please open one bug report per subject.

@Renato Meneses (renatomeneses), please submit a new report with the files and exact steps to redo the bug.
