Bad and wasted opgl visualization of interface
Closed, ArchivedPublicKNOWN ISSUE

Description

As I switch the opgl visualization to "Weight Paint" mode, some of the window buttons in the panels get wasted ("opglweight.jpg").

Even worse as I switch to "UV Face Select" mode ("opglfaceselect.jpg").

This randomly happened in earlier version (in official 2.41 too). If I save the blend after the opgl "wasting", close and reopen it, sometime the interface keeps the ruined visualization, I have to start with a brand new blend to eliminate it.

Windows XP, AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500, NVidia GeForce 6600 GT.

Thanks for the report, but this is clearly an opengl issue. It doesn't happen on my system (osx), and I didn't see it happen in the studio on the linux systems either.

It appears to me that alpha drawing for bitmaps fails... you might check on all settings the geforce allows you, down/upgrade drivers, and even try to set 'accelleration' to zero.
Also worth checking is if this happens in older blender versions, like 2.37.

This is a generic request to test your bug report and see if it is still an issue in 2.5alpha2 if so please let me know by making a comment in this report ie 'also in 2.5alpha2' and I will add it to the 2.5 bug list.
