Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit, AMD A8-6600K APU

Blender Version
Broken: 2.71 stable release from the download page

Short description of error
Remove gaps in VSE does not remove gaps (while insert gaps works fine)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. File/New
  2. Select VSE
  3. Drag and drop 2 video strips (I used 10 second videos recorded with an iPhone 4s)
  4. Position between the strips
  5. Strip/Insert Gaps adds 10 frames to the 2nd strip (works)
  6. Strip/Remove Gaps does nothing (nor from menu, nor with backspace)

Seems to work here, with latest master. So please:

  1. try with a build from our buildbot;
  2. Attach a simple .blend file showing the issue.

Downloaded blender-2.71-c0a9337-win64.zip and remove gaps still does not work.
I'll try to attach the .blend file, too.
Are there env settings or config parameters that influence remove gaps and I should check?

There is no bug here, it cannot remove gaps until there is some gap! Just move selected strip enough to actually have a gap between the other strip, and 'remove gaps' works as expected.

The issue was that I normally have an audio track on channel zero, so remove gaps will never remove gaps in this case.
