Most likely yet another OGL driver issue… Pleas try to put this dll next to your blender.exe, and see whether it fixes the issue.

You could also try to update your driver, 337 is not the latest one afaik.

Adding that dll does fix the issue, but it also makes blender run about 3x slower, and when I open a large scene blender becomes unresponsive.

Unfortunately, this confirms that your current graphic driver is buggy, and breaks on some OpenGL situation (that dll is the reference software implementation of OpenGL, so it is of course slow as hell and unusable in production, but it helps sorting out whether it’s a Blender issue, or a Driver issue).

Thanks for the report, but this is not a Blender bug - 'generalist' drivers/GPUs are really an issue these days with OpenGL, nvidia used to be a reference. :/

What you said gave me an idea to go poking around in my Nvidia settings. By setting blender to run in "high performance" mode it fixed the issue. I think it was originally set to use my laptop's internal graphics card for blender, so it was not seeing the Nvidia drives.

windows 8. blender 2,75 2.74 2.73a there is a crash. on laptop internal GPU. would be awesome if u can fix this.
