Python tooltips ellipsis problem

Python tooltips should help developers but they do so only if python path is relativly short. Otherwise significant part of it is hidden by ellipsis. Ellipsis problem has been discussed earlier here https://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/5355/access-python-data-path-with-ellipsis/5356#5356?newreg=68386339e3b942e59dcf78740920d2f0
And it's been said there that this problem would be fixed in 2.72 release. It still isn't.

Also behaviour of CTRL+C combination with tooltips is incosistent, sometimes it copies a python path, sometimes it copies a value, all other times it copies nothing. That's really annoying.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open User Preferences, hover the search box and look at the tooltip. Then press CTRL+C and check if anything has been copied

Thanks for the report, but that ellipsis was precisely added to avoid too long py string - 99% of users do not need it. You can just copy/paste the path (RMB click on any RNA property), anyway.

Well, if 99% of users don't need it why it is turned on by default then? Also what confuses me more is the fact that "too long" python paths are truncated the same way even in console output.
Also RMB click on any RNA property doesn't work as expected 90% of the time and it never copies full path displayed in tooltip.

It would be a life saver to have full python paths in tooltips at least as an option in user preferences. Alternatively some consistent way to copy full python path would also be ok.

Also even RMB doesn't work 100% of a time. Sometimes it's just disabled.

I have a patch ready (D763) that adds a button "Copy Full Data Path" to the RMB menu. This still needs to get the okay from the UI team heads, but I'm really optimistic about getting this into master, soon (maybe this week already).
