In texture paint the mask image is being active when the box is unchecked/disabled.

In texture paint add a mask image in slots/mask with it unchecked I was unable to paint on the object. After I deleted the image in slots/mask it worked.

I can't reproduce here, I need a more detailed description or a file with the issue to see it.

I have changed the file trying to work around it and now I can't reproduce it. I apologize for taking up your time.
