Worked: (works fine with CPU in same versions)

Short description of error

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Load attached scene and render using "Animation" button in camera props. Speed drastically slows down after ~frame 5. Similar slowdown does not happen using CPU.

. Render time drops from ~2s to ~40s. I have worked around this problem by batching 5 frame chunks using command line; i.e.:

blender -b c:\tmp\scratch.blend -o tmp -F TARGA -x 1 -s 001 -e 005 -a
blender -b c:\tmp\scratch.blend -o

I remember reports like this and they were caused by some addons. Please try adding --factory-startup to a command line (before -b) and see if it makes any difference.

Hi Sergey...

That fixed it (adding "--factory-startup"). Any idea which addon causes the problem?

Thank you, btw.

Glad it works again. Let's close the report though :)

I'd suggest disabling one add-on after the other, to see which one causes the slowdown. You can then contact the author to see if that's a known issue. If not, you can create a new report in the add-on bug tracker.

Anyway, thanks for the report @jay banchero (dynaperspective)

It looks like the "Measure Panel" Addon is the cause of this problem. After disabling it and restarting Blender the problem goes away.

@jay banchero (dynaperspective), do you mind reporting it to the Addons tracker and assigning it to one of the addon authors?
