Short description of error
When a material's BSDF node has a Bump node hooked up to it, and that Bump node has a normal hooked up to it (in this case, Geometry->Normal) then the material acts as if it were solid shaded. The bigger problem, however, is that it causes textures for that material to not be visible in Material mode. In fact, usage of any output from the Geometry node seems to cause this breakage.
This problem only occurs when the viewport is in Material mode. All other viewport shading modes work normally.
