Projection from view caused distorted and overlapping UV

System Information
Problem confirmed on multiple OS (Win7 64bit, Win 8.1 64 bit, Ubuntu 14.10) and various Nvidia & Intel GPUs

Blender Version
Broken: 2.73a

Short description of error
When object is off view,
UV project from view & project from view (bounds) will distort and cause overlapping UV map.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error


Select all (A), UV unwrap (U), Project from view (V) or Project from View (Bounds) (B)

Perspective projections where parts of the mesh are behind the view just aren't supported.

If there was some useful fall-back we could use it, (looked into this), but none are very satisfactory.

closing this - as an unsupported feature.
