1. I open blender
2. I add a texture to my material
3. I press the "colorband" button
4. Nothing happens (exept the button being pressed in)
5. If I try to change any parameters or anything, blender segfaults
If I press a button or change a parameter for the texture (F6 menu) before I press the colorband button I don't get this however.
Using blender 2.42 RC 1 on ububuntu dapper (32 bit), But I think I can recall having the same problems with a pretty recent CVS.build under windows too.
Oh, and I have some kind of integrated, low quality nvidia 3d card.

No crash here, latest cvs, OSX.
Vidar: You first should check if official releases (like 2.41) show same crashing. If so, then you most likely suffer an opengl issue. Check your drivers, driver settings, etc?

Move this to opengl issue tracker.
Vidar: in the RC2 test build this should be solved!

The bug is not present in 2.41, nor is it fixed in the rc2.
I tried booting windows, but there everyting went fine.
A friend of mine (running Dapper too) does not get the crash however, so I guess the problem is on my side. Thanks for taking your time, and rock on!

Well. don't give up that easy! Did you check the Linux faq?
http://www.blender.org/cms/Linux.301.0.html
search for "NoFlip"
Checking on driver upgrades also could help
This is a generic request to test your bug report and see if it is still an issue in 2.5alpha2 if so please let me know by making a comment in this report ie 'also in 2.5alpha2' and I will add it to the 2.5 bug list.
