blender 2.73 crashes at opening
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

A windows 7 64 bit computer (thats truly all I know obout my computer)
blender version: 2.73
problem: after installing the blender 2.73 version I found that it crashes at opening after every failed attempt to run the software. from the look at forums on the Internet I saw that it is a very common problem with this specific version of blener. most of the people suggested that it might be due to a out dated graphic card or an open GL problem.
whenever trying to open the software the small black window wrote
warning: choose pixel format and warning: found bundled python
nothing I tried seem to help to fix the issue like most of the people who suffer from this problem.
BTY sorry for being so ignorant at the technical data

Please:

  • Give us your exact OS and GPU versions, as requested in the template!
  • Ensure both your OS and drivers are fully up-to-date.
  • For Windows 7, at least service pack 1 is mandatory, please ensure it is installed on your machine.
  • Ensure your GPU driver supports at least OpenGL 1.4.
  • Ensure you have installed MSVC2013 redistributable package (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784).
  • Try to disable any running antivirus.
  • Ensure you have no python executable available in your %path% envvar.
  • Try to re-download and re-install Blender.
  • Try the latest build from our buildbot.
  • Try to start Blender in factory settings (--factory-startup commandline option) (this will ensure whether this is a userpref or addon issue or not).
  • Try to place this dll next to your blender.exe (software OGL, will be slow, but will show whether this is a driver issue or not).
