Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Try to run the python.exe

there may be more but thats the only one i can see

ok found the .dll it was in with blender.exe. i think it should be in the bin folder so this could be a comple error.

It is not a compile error, python34.dll is actually in exact location where it should be. If it's moved somewhere then blender itself wouldn't b able to locate it. Could see two solutions here:

  1. Link python.exe statically
  2. Require scripters to put blender's path to their script's PATH environment.

@Campbell Barton (campbellbarton), do you see any other ways of solving the issue?

Other then maybe a slight file size issue could'nt you have one in the main blender folder and another in the bin folder blender can't stay small file size forever autodesk is a couple gb

Think copying DLL is OK short term solution.

Will look into it tomorrow morning.
