Exporting screencast to H.264/MPEG-4 crashes Blender

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Open Blender
  • Change file format to H.264 in the Output panel
  • Change the format to MPEG-4 in the Encoding panel
  • Start screencast (Alt+F3)
  • Exit screencast
  • Blender crashes

In my very humble opinion, I am having a hard time believing that translating comments in some BGE code would solve this issue.

he is right are you sure you looked at this correctly @Campbell Barton (campbellbarton) and @Thibaut Bequet (Littleme) you can try a build from https://builder.blender.org/download/ to test if this has been fixed in the latest blender version

I have just tested with 2.75 e6f7f36 (w8.1 64bit zip) and the bug does not appear any more. I might just be an mistake with the commit link.
