Short description of error
When an object uses two hair modifiers, a crash on render may occur when both hair modifiers are active, and when both hair modifiers use a UV mapped texture (under the Render settings).
Changing the texture mapping from UV to Generated will prevent the crash.
Disabling one of the hair modifiers will prevent the crash.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Blend file:
- Render scene with default settings. Observe crash.
- To prevent the crash: Reload file, edit Ball Texture mapping and change Coordinates from UV to Generated. Observe no crash.
- To enable the crash: Edit Ball Texture mapping and change Coordinates from Generated to UV, rendering with this should cause a crash again.
- To prevent the crash: Navigate to the Particles window and disable hair2 to prevent it from rendering. Rendering with one hair modifier enabled, despite using a UV map, does not cause a crash.
