When in the Sequencer, "Select -> All Strips to the Left" results in identical behavior to "Select -> All Strips to the Right"

found while attempting to create custom shortcuts (Q and W) for the commands, as they are integral to changing cuts late into an edit (I am an amateur filmmaker)

This is my first bug report and I am sorry if more information is needed, it seemed to not need a file to produce failed behavior.
