Hi,
today i tried to run blender on my Desktop for the first time (i always work no my laptop) and a something wierd happened... after 10-15 seconds it freezes... i tried to change some options of my gforce ti4200 like the page flipping but it didn't helped...
my pc:
cpu: athlon XP 2400+ @ 2Ghz
mobo: Gigabyte GA-7VRX 2.0 (VIA KT333)
nvidia geforce ti4200 64mb
RAM: 1x512mb 333mhz
OS: windows XP SP2
ps- i'll try to run it on win 98 to see if it works...
ps2- it happens with v2.41 and 2.42RC2 but with 2.41 it only happens after 40-50s...

Best is to first visit the invidia website, and get the latest drivers from them.
Usually all nvidia cards work OK in Blender, although the 64 MB memory doesn't seem like a lot. You might try to make the blender window smalller, or not run it full-screen (as it default starts with) but with a windowed border. Changing screen resolution to 16/24/32 bits might also work.

well...i tried win 98 and it run fast and smooth... i tried 3 diferent sets of drivers but i didn't solve the problem....
64mb isn't the proble because i'm at 1024*768 and it crashes with the default scene (a cube with a single light)...

Well, don't give up... I can only assure you that nvidia cards *should* work, but there are just settings in drivers to make opengl crash with blender...
This is a generic request to test your bug report and see if it is still an issue in 2.5alpha2 if so please let me know by making a comment in this report ie 'also in 2.5alpha2' and I will add it to the 2.5 bug list.
