Blender quits without warning when trying to render with AMD OpenCL
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

I'm trying to render with GPU and when I click render it says "Loading Render Kernels (may take a few minutes the first time). Nothing happens for a few minutes, then all of a sudden Blender closes itself without any warning or error messages. The only thing that seems wrong is when I start blender, the cmd prompt window that opens before the program says "Failed to set 44100hz, got 48000hz instead". Could that be the problem, or is it something else?

Blender Version: 2.75a (hash: c27589e don't know if that's important)

OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit, x64-based processor
Processor: AMD A6-6310 APU with AMD Radeon R4 Graphics 1.80 GHz

Just checked we only support Radeon 7xxx cards so nothing we can do if it crashes. Also the Failed to set 44100hz, got 48000hz instead is not a problem the message has to do with blender's sound system.

Ok thanks. I was wondering if that's what the problem was because it says the R4 is equivalent to 7470M and GCN-based so I didn't think it would be an issue. Guess it was. Thanks again!
