BVH armature import error

Description

Importing the attached bvh file into blender creates a armature with the root of each bone moved to the center of the armature. I am able to play and edit this bvh file within XSI, 3ds max, Endorphin and bvhacker.

Yep, seems were applying absolute locations when we shouldn't, however in most BVH files only the root bones translate so this went for some years unnoticed.

This is related to the issue T44690 I reported a while back.
I attached a patch in that issue, could you verify that this solves your issue?
