Inset and scale problems with faces
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

Win7pro, AMD Radeon HD 7470 (1GB) (low profile for miniATX, ASUS H81M-plus)

2.75 c27589e

I attached six png files with names that describe what I attempted and results

01- picked a face

02- inset (default, no changes)

03- inset works in one not two dimensions - need two

04- trivial second dimension, causes selection problems

05- how to scale just the face, not some region around it too

06- selected two edges and got five - what's that

That last one: I selected the tall vertical and the short horizontal immediately at its bottom vertex, and got three additional edges I didn't want

I'm new to this, so maybe there's some info I haven't found (online manual; separate book)
