Cannot reproduce here… Also, issue seems to happen in draw code, you may try to start in software OpenGL mode (use the blender-softwaregl distributed with official blender, will be slow, but will show whether this is a driver issue or not).

Could you elaborate more on how to start blender with software GL? I tried to run the blender-sotwaregl but nothing happened. BTW. I'm using driver from ATI, not the default system one.

Open a terminal, and type:

cd /path/to/my/blender/installation
./blender-softwaregl

If this does not work, you should at least get some error message, please report it here.

Also, you did not report which GPU driver and version you are using, this can be important, did you update it recently?

So it seems that it's been fixed. I downloaded today's build and it works again. So I think this can be closed.
Or if you still want to examine it here's a crash I get when I run yesterday's build in software GL

and the terminal
./blender-softwaregl
connect failed: No such file or directory
Read new prefs: /home/fil/.config/blender/2.75/config/userpref.blend
Writing: /tmp/blender.crash.txt
Segmentation fault

My driver is ATI proprietary driver for linux 14.501.1003

Eeeeh… well, all this is a bit strange, but ok, let’s archive it for now.
