Edge Loop Offset changes the select mode to edge
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

After using the Edge Loop Offset in Blender 2.76-rc1 while being in Face Select Mode the mode changes to Edge Select Mode automatically.
I think it's a bug because I expect to stay in a select mode and as it's now, it's disturbing my workflow.

It acts like loop cut and slide that jump to edge select mode, too.

Do you have an example when it should act like that ?
If you are in face select mode, you are selecting one or multiple face loops; it means that an outset made by pressing I,O will give same result without jump.

Cool, I didn't know about the option of changing the Inset Tool to outset yet!
So if I plan on working further on the faces I can use I,O and if I want to manipulate the single edges of a face I can use Strg+Shift+R.

Thanks for the quick answer!
