Short description of error
Turning on X Mirror and or Toplogy Mirror does not reflect across the axis.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Select edges and hit ctrl + e then create seam. Will only work on 1 side.

Well… Mirror editing seems to only be implemented for a limited set of operations in fact (transformations, geometry smoothing, and weights, mostly)… @Campbell Barton (campbellbarton) not sure we consider that as a bug, or rather as a known TODO? Kind of same situation as in T46254

I see... I assumed since it was in the same place as live unwrap that it was for mirroring whatever options you chose from live unwrap edge selection. =D.

We can support it, but raises the question which marking functions should be mirrored.

  • edge seams/sharp/crease
  • smooth faces
  • assigning material

Thanks for the report, but it's just unsupported operation so far. Surely improvements are possible but better to happen outside of the bug tracker.
