Can you give some more information on which version you
tried, and exactly what fields you're trying to type in? I
have not seen this in any darwin-intel version so far, but
see if the R3 posted last night (
http://download.blender.org/release/Blender2.42/ ) will help
you.

This is an opengl issue, frontbuffer drawing doesn't work.
I might know a solution, but will work best with a developer standby with such system to check.
When I cannot find that, i'll compile an intel version myself and upload for test, ok? :)
(moved to ogl tracker, where also other similar report is)
BTW: you can type, it just doesnt show!

Hi,
Here is a quick test I made, compiled in osx 10.4 on macbook.

Please check if typing now works! And report other UI failures, if you can find it.

This one remapped all frontbuffer code in Blender to use the intel gfx hack.

Typing does indeed work now.
And there is one other UI faluire. You can't see windws drag as they are being draged, and you cant see the window splitting bar.
This is a generic request to test your bug report and see if it is still an issue in 2.5alpha2 if so please let me know by making a comment in this report ie 'also in 2.5alpha2' and I will add it to the 2.5 bug list.
