Blender crashes when extruding plane.

The plane was generated using third party addon, so there is probably something fishy with the plane itself. Still, blender should not crash because of it...

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Load blend file, select plane, tab for edit mode, select all vertices, press E to extrude.

The error is in the addon, the mesh is invalid.

You can run this in the Python console:

bpy.context.object.data.validate(verbose=True)

Its recommended that importers which don't do their own sanity checks run validate as a final step after importing.

Thank you for your time to look into this., I ran the validaiton on the object and it came indeed back with some invalid edge references. I'll talk to the developer of the add on to add your suggestion.
