Mirroring objects breaks boolean modifier
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

System Information
Linux Arch - Nvidia GTX57

Blender Version
Broken: 2.76.0 f337fea, 2.76.11 da81227, 2.77.0 5513762
Worked: na.

Short description of error

After mirroring object (Ctrl+M) bollean modifier acts as if object has flipped normals.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Add two cubes to the scene, add boolean modifier (difference) to one of the cubes pointing another as target object. Use object mirror tool (Ctrl+M) on whichever of the cubes to trigger the bug. Normals are affected by mirroring operation causing boolean modifier to act as if mirrored cube has flipped normals. Reusing mirro fixes the problem (normals get flip back apparently).

Thanks for the report, but this is known issue - and internal to Carve library, so not worth fixing/working around it currently, let’s first see if bmesh booleans solve it.
