Can't edit the settings for "branched path tracing"

Like the title says, I can't edit the sample settings when set to branched path tracing. Bug still appears after reinstall.

Just set the sampling to branched path tracing.

It's an issue when having an OpenCL device selected in the user preferences (which does not yet support branched path), but not actually used in the scene.

The workaround is to disable that OpenCL device or use tomorrow's build from builder.blender.org which will have this fixed.
