Broken:
2.76b f337fea
(also broken on 2.71 version that I have now deleted)
Worked: Rendering out the sped up video in chunks. Well enough.

Short description of error
Using the video editor, adding speed control to the 11th track killed the program repeatedly.
The first time I had not saved it, so I had to redo the work. Once again at the 11th video, when I added speed control, it killed the program. I had saved it, and tried several more times with the same result. There is a total of about 400 minutes of video in the first 10, all sped up 64 times.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Fresh file.
Go to video editor.

Drag video1.mov to sequencer
Add speed control set to 64 times multiplication.
Find last visible frame, move current frame there.

repeat with video2.mov - video11.mov.

on the 11th, when adding speed control, it dies when added, hot keys, or clicking the button.

Event Timeline

Please include a test file setup to redo the crash (where adding a single speed strip crashes for example).

This is the file I was using. I noticed I doubled up one of the videos, so it may have been the 12th that broke it.

I was poking it a little more, and found that other effects strips, added instead of a 12th speed control, also kill the program. I tried transform, wipe, and glow I think, as well as trying a 30 second video in place of the 12th (20 minutes) still kills the program. I tried deleting all the speed controls, then adding them back, without adjusting the multiplySpeed attribute, and it still killed it on the last one.
