If I set an object A scale to *,*,0 and parent to another object B, object A rotation and location are locked.

  • Open the file
    105-scale-0.blend461 KBDownload
  • Look at the Cube scale values. It is parented to Empty.
  • Try to rotate or move Cube.
  • Clear Parent.
  • Rotate or move it.

Can confirm the bug. Indeed, changing the rotation value in the N-Panel works, but the modal rotation in the 3D view doesn't work anymore. Having a scale not equal to 0 deactivate the bug.
