[Bug]
So i am able to install blender successfully,
When i run it i get this:
<console>
[rohitsz@localhost ~]$ blender -w
Compiled with Python version 2.4.
Checking for installed Python... got it!
/usr/bin/blender: line 46: 3024 Segmentation fault /usr/bin/blender.bin $@
[rohitsz@localhost ~]$
</console>
The GUI screens are here:
ok: http://www.geocities.com/rohitsz/logs/blender_OK_FC5.png
not_ok: http://www.geocities.com/rohitsz/logs/blender_NOT_OK_FC5.png
I am able to repeat this behaviour since the past two weeks as follows:
1) $blender -w
2) on the gui after couple of clicks, the not_ok screen comes
2a) it does not go after 10-20 clicks, the screen disappears giving the seg fault error.
2b) recently i upgraded fedora to the kernel 2.6.17, and now at times, the monitor is turned off and i have to do a hard reboot.
This is how the bug appears.

Hi,
This is a problem of your DRI install and/or related to a not well supported 3d card.
- First of all, you really have to use Blender builds from blender.org to verify bugs or problems with.
- then also check an older release (lie 2.37a)
- try to use different driver installs, for example load drivers from ATI itself
In general; be assured Blender can run perfectly with current 3d cards, including ATIs. Having drivers correctly working really is a condition.
