Blender cant find folders with ~ at the end

Short description of error
The character "~" placed at the end of a folders name like "Name~" appears to hide or remove these folders from blenders search lists. (Open, Link, Import...)
I think blender file names are not effected, only folder names.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Thanks for the report, but not bug here.

The ~ (tilde) in file name is usually used to mark temporary files, so it’s considered by Blender as an 'hidden file' case - to show those, hit H in the file browser, or click on the 'hidden grayed file' icon…
