Short description of error
Setting Unique Object Animation does not make unique animation to the object data aswell.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Open attached blend file
  2. move keys around in dope sheet
  3. notice how it is linked animation
  4. press u -> make single user object animation
  5. Move keys around in dope sheet again
  6. notice how it is still linked

Expected Behaviour:
Unique animation would happen

Thanks for the report, but that’s a feature request, not a bug - Data animation is not same as Object animation, would need a new entry in the menu then! Also, same data can be shared by several object, so you'd probably have to have an 'Object + Object animation + Data + Data animation' entry…
