Short description of error
While in edit mode using clay render, going through an object causes the entire system to hang and not work any more. Every time this is done the program stops working and then the whole computer freezes and requires a shutdown with the power button.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Open file.
  2. Go to user preferences.
  3. Go to "Interface".
  4. Turn on "Auto Depth".
  5. Go to clay render.
  6. Enter edit mode
  7. While in edit mode, zoom through object and move in and out slow and fast
  8. System should freeze and stop working altogether.

Event Timeline

Couldn't redo this bug, computer freezing hints at bug in OpenGL/driver.

Okay. Could this just be because my machine is only OpenGL 3.0. Thanks for the fast reply anyways! ;)

Bastien Montagne (mont29) claimed this task.

Blender 2.8 has minimal requirement of OpenGL 3.3.

Indeed according to wikipedia, HD3000 driver on Windows best supports OpenGL3.1, so we can’t do much here. Thanks for the report anyway.
