Short description of error
Each time I enable render view on cycles, blender will just go into deadlock.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps

Please provide all the requested information, operating system, exact graphics card, and a .blend to reproduce the issue.

If it happens with the default .blend, did an earlier Blender version like 2.78c work? Perhaps try reinstalling the NVidia drivers?

I don't have this problem on Asus Strix GTX1070OC. Try to update the driver or reinstall blender.

I am using windows 10 x64, graphic card gtx 1050 ti blender version 2.85.
sorry i suppose to include this earlier. if i use my cpu it does not crash but once i change to GPU it crashes when i am using cycles view in blender 2.85

Please:

  • Give us your exact Blender, OS and GPU (including drivers) versions, as requested in the template!
  • Ensure both your OS and drivers are fully up-to-date (and use official GPU drivers, not those provided by windows or tablet/laptop maker).
  • Try the latest build from our buildbot.
  • Try to start Blender in factory settings (--factory-startup commandline option) (this will ensure whether this is a userpref or addon issue or not).
  • Launch Blender from the command line with --debug-cycles option and attach as text file here any error printed out in the console (do not paste it directly in comment).
