Wrong normals when importing FBX from Revit
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

System Information
System-Info file attached,

Blender Version
Official 2.79 release

Short description of error
The normals of the geometry when imported from Revit as FBX are wrong.
I have attached the original FBX file that was exported from Revit.
Along with that I have attached an FBX file that I imported through Rhino and out to FBX again. This one is imported correctly into Blender.

Note that Revit can produce two types of FBX files. One which is new and one which is 2015 and previous.
(Also note that although the normals are wrong blender can import both while Rhino actually only supports the old one :) Good job guys)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Import "Simple Revit Model to Blender New FBX.fbx" as attached. Note then that the normals are wrong.

Bastien Montagne (mont29) lowered the priority of this task from 90 to 50.

Yep, that was awesome)
Is it planned something for materials/textures support?

I don't know how is it possible, but sometimes 3DsMax can't read FBX it just produced, while Blender can.
Such things made me a diamond donator.
That's so tough and awesome and dope, that I am really impressed. Thank you for this)
