Arch Linux 18.04 - Nvidia Geforce Titan Z

Blender Version
Broken: blender-2.80-405c6c077f6
Worked: blender-2.79b-f4dc9f9d68b and blender-2.80-bcdec635700

Short description of error
When i apply the Action on NLA Editor with Blender 2.79b and open the file on blender 2.80-405c6c077f6 When i play the animation (shift Spacebar), on the 3D viewport the animation don't work
If I apply the Action on NLA Editor with Blender 2.80 this will work but i have a huge project of animation made on 2.79b and all of the Action are applied.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Open Blender 2.79b
  • Apply the Action on NLA Editor
  • Save the file
  • Open the latest version blender-2.80-405c6c077f6
  • Launch the animation with Shift Spacebare and on the 3D viewport you can't see any movement of the monkey

I believe this has been fixed? At least here with latest 2.8, I open your file, hit shift-space, and see the monkey moving. ;)

I download the latest blender : blender-2.80-b466c09c305
And I confirm the animation work with 2.8

But if i validate the action on 2.79b and save. Then open the file on 2.8 the bug will be here again.
No movement of the monkey !

I can confirm the second issue, opening this file in 2.8 and hitting shift-space, monkey does not move. @Joshua Leung (aligorith), think that one is for you?

I would like to highlight this bug and better explain it because it is extremely annoying !
I send you a new blend file saved on 2.79b

in which there is an action.
If we open this file on blender 2.8 we see that the animation does not launch.
I hope you find the error of this compatibility bug between 2.79b and 2.8.

I can't reproduce this in the latest daily build, so it appears the bug has been fixed already.
