Short description of error
Open Blender 2.80
Tab to Edit Object Mode
Left-click on Edge-Select Icon
Wait, while Blender closes, without opportunity to stop program shutdown.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
1.)Download Blender 2.80 from https://builder.blender.org/download/
( blender-2.80-aed82dafff8-OSX-10.9-x86_64.zip 107.16MB Jul 09 2018 01:05:06)
2.)Uncompress download with default decompression program (Archive Utility.app (default) 10.10) and open resulting directory in User's Download directory.
3.) Open blender.app by "right-click/open"
4.) Reset to factory settings.
5.) Tab to object-edit mode.
6.) Left-click on Edge-select screen icon/button.
7.) After a moment of processing ('swirling color disc' icon replaces arrow cursor), the Edge selection button is highlighted, as expected. A short moment later, the processing icon (swirling-colored disc) reappears, and the entire Blender window closes. Then, a Mac system notification window opens, asking if I want to report a bug (to Apple Computer Co.).
This shutdown error has been consistent with at least two other previous downloaded 2.80 builds from https://builder.blender.org/download/.
Note: I do not consider the final request from the Apple system - asking if I want to report a problem to Apple - to be un-usual; This has happened for as long as I can remember, on normal shut-downs of Blender.
Information at this site: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202823 indicates my Mac Pro computer (Mid 2010) should have OpenGL 4.1 and OpenCL1.2
