Short description of error
Every once in a while Blender 2.8 will crash when creating a new workspace. I had to create a video editing tab and it has crashed two times so far on separate occasions. This time it was after saving then creating a new workspace.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Open Blender 2.8
  2. Save project
  3. Create new workspace

(May not crash the first time)

That’s not going to help us am afraid… we need to be able to reproduce an issue to investigate and fix it. Also, we require at least OpenGL 3.1 iirc… that whole chromebook is really a bit limited for modern 3D software.

@Bastien Montagne (mont29) I'm afraid this issue is still there on my OpenGL 3.1 laptop as well with twice the RAM and an i5 CPU. :( It is running Arch Linux with the latest drivers. But then again, Blender has historically had issues with my Intel GPUs. But things _have_ been getting better at least! :) I was actually testing 2D grease pencil on my Chromebook as it runs really well! Just thought I'd report it in case it would help! ;)

Bastien Montagne (mont29) claimed this task.

Well, I gave it a try again this morning, could not get any crash…

I’m sorry, but we cannot investigate an issue we cannot reproduce, so will archive this report until someone can give enough elements to consistently reproduce it. Thanks for the report anyway.
