Can confirm the crash.
Can also confirm D3773 fixes it (but unsure why ob->bb is actually NULL there -- further investigation needed...)

@Bastien Montagne (mont29) I believe this should be reopened as blender continues to crash when dynotopo is on w/ tiling enabled. I just tested this on b201196c2e5 and it continues to crash.

@Eoin O'Neill (eoinoneill.yokai) I cannot reproduce with basic cube, and this is most likely not the same issue. So please open a new report, with .blend and precise steps to reproduce.

I could reproduce the bug with 26b1aa99436 on Win10 RX460, and b4e037fe140 on Debian 9.6 Celeron G3930.

Ah! Found the culprit!

It crashes if you do not have the Property panel shown in 3DView. That one shows dimensions, which trigger access to the bbox, which hence ensures that one is present.
