Mousemovement deforms screen in version 2.43RC1
Closed, ArchivedPublicKNOWN ISSUE

Description

Hello,
First of all: my compliments for the great job that all of you are doing for us, the users!

System: Pentium 3Gh Dual Core
Card: nVidia GeForce 6700XL
RAM: 2Gig
Screen: 24 inch
OS: Windows XPSP2

Moving the mouse over the various screens causes a deformed view.
I tried different settings for the screen quality/speed, etc.
It doesn't occur in other appl. like Photoshop, Gimp and Blender V2.42.
In the attached file you will find 3 screen shots. The sub menu's are also deformed.

Error does not occur on my laptop.

Greetz,
Helen

Hi,

Such errors are really OpenGL problems, local for your system. I really wonder why 2.42 works... you really sure about that? I guess something changed in your system...
check your graphics driver settings, disable full scene AA, etc... we have a very long FAQ about gfx on blender.org

Hi Ton,

2.42 worked perfect. I will check the settings, etc., as you suggested.
When I find the solution, I will let you know.

Thanks and groeten,
Helen

Solution: Deinstall nVidia driver -> restart -> install driver again -> restart and problem is solved.

I have done a reinstall before, without success. So the clue is to first deinstall the nVidia driver.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Regardzz and thanks.

Helen.

This is a generic request to test your bug report and see if it is still an issue in 2.5alpha2 if so please let me know by making a comment in this report ie 'also in 2.5alpha2' and I will add it to the 2.5 bug list.
