It would be nice if single-click on the driver icon would open the edit driver popover and double-clicking open driver editor.
In the keyframe icons by double clicking you could open in floating window the curve editor would be good, or ctrl + left click.

I'm not too familiar with how the UI works yet. I got the popover to display (it was pretty simple) but it does not work properly. Moving the mouse just below the driver type option exits the popover.
@Zachman Yes it’s really annoying. It’s a current limitation of these popup windows in Blender.
In this case, the popup would work much better if it stayed open until manually closed, rather than disappearing when moving the mouse. This behavior also means you can’t use the eye dropper at all.
@William Reynish (billreynish) so the best solution in this case would be a slight redesign of the popover itself so it doesn't close until a "close" button is pressed? And is there a reason why it works when opening from the context menu, and not from the decorator?
