Short description of error
When I try to add two particles systems and change a new one to hair, blender crashes.
I get this error:

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open attached file. Press "hair" on the DirtBig particle system.

This crash can be avoided by first setting the render as to "object" or "collection", then setting said object or collection, and then changing to hair. Rather strange.

For testing it would be nice if you could also provide a simpler .blend file with all the things removed that are not necessary.

Confirmed in older version, but appears to be fixed now.
