Blender Version:

Short description of error:
Using Alt while the annotate tool is active to erase annotations appears to be quite inefficient.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error:

  1. Open Blender and open a editor that allows annotation (E.G. 3D viewport, Node editor, etc)
  2. Select the annotation tool and draw something, for example, a large square.
  3. Hold down alt and try to erase your drawing without deactivating the tool, in many causes the eraser won't erase what your mouse is over.

You can erase using 3 methods:

  1. Press and Release ALT key with Annotate tool enabled (moving the mouse).
  2. Enable Eraser Tool.
  3. Delete the Annotation layer in the Top Bar panel.

I think the problem you have is that you keep pressed the Alt key and this try to switch mode again and again.

@Antonio Vazquez (antoniov), toggling erase while the stroke is being painted seems wrong. It should just take into account the initial modifier key, like other paint tools?

Yes, it's the logic. I wil take a look. I did not create this part of the code, so I need investigate was going on.

There was a conflict with ALT key.
