Short description of error
When Extra Shading Pie Menu Items is ON in the preferences, the Toggle X-Ray button of the Pie Menu does not indicate the state of the X-Ray in the viewport anymore.

This was moved from a property toggle to being an operator, see rB7d985fcc1b3d.

So this is a intentional change, I'm afraid there is no nice way of indicating a state for an operator button [possibly through the icon?]

Yes an icon could be ok, but as it is displayed in the header of the 3D viewport, it is maybe not necessary.
