If I link a collection containing a camera (link.blend, Collection->import-camera) to another scene (target.blend), you can't activate the camera view (Numpad 0).

If I link the Camera as an Object, it works.

Something weird happens here. When a collection is linked into another file, it does not actually link the collection, but creates a new collection that contains an instance of the collection that should be linked.

Not sure if this is a bug or feature, @Brecht Van Lommel (brecht).
Personally, I'd consider it a bug.

There is an option called Instance Collections for the link operator.
Uncheck that and you are good to go...

Dont see a bug here, closing (but feel free to comment again if that is not what you are looking for...)
