Cycles - World Preview shows only a part of the environment texture

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open the attached blend file.
On the right you see the preview of the environment texture. Its only a part of the hdr-image. Why?
The full texture looks like this.


Is it possible to see the texture as a whole in the cylces world preview?! Otherwhise it is very hard to figure out which texture you have!

Using a panoramic camera view for the world preview is a good idea, but outside the scope of what we consider a bug.

In my opinion in the state the preview is now, it is nearly useless because you only see a very small part of the world. :-(
