Crash after installing ATI drivers
Closed, ArchivedPublicKNOWN ISSUE

Description

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon Xpress 200M
OS: Linux Slacware 11.0

Before I installed the ATI drivers, the game engine was working fine (a bit slow though). After I installed it whenever I use blenderplayer or I start the game from the inside of Blender it gives me a segmentation fault.

It's Blender's fault (something that doesn't work with ATI) or ATI drivers fault?

We only hear of ATI driver errors... you best could try the FAQ on blender.org, or search on blenderartists.org forums for all ideas people have to solve it.

You can also do a search in this tracker... (openg issue tracker)

This is a generic request to test your bug report and see if it is still an issue in 2.5alpha2 if so please let me know by making a comment in this report ie 'also in 2.5alpha2' and I will add it to the 2.5 bug list.

Sorry I forgot to update this. It seems it was a drivers fault because I no longer have that problem (both in Windows and Linux). I've come to know that ATI Radeon Xpress 200M opengl are extremely buggy.

Keep the excelent work you're doing.
