Whenever I create a new object it only gives me the properties of that new object even when I select a
new object. This doesn't happen on my WinXP Computer. This makes it very difficult to make models.

The information you gave isn't enough to precisely replicate the problem. Can you describe in detail the exact steps you took, so we can try and reproduce the problem?
thanks

On a Mac OSX Power PC do t he following:
- Start Blender with a new file
- Create a new object such as a camera or cube.
- Try to select another object and it will not return that objects properties(in the buttons window), it will only return the object you have just created's properties.

I still can't redo this with that description (also running Mac OS X PPC).
- Is this a redraw/refresh problem, does it show ok after you do something in the buttons window?
- How do you select the object, 3d view or outliner, clicking or box select, .. ? Does that make any difference?

I've attached a screen shot showing the problem. I clearly have the camera selected in the picture but

This is clearly an opengl problem. Anthoni: what kind of graphics is in your mac? Give all system specs, and can you check for available OSX upgrades?
(I only know nvidia had this once, a long time ago...)

I can't seem to find out the spec except for processor and ram which is 1.0GHz and 256Mb and this is a power PC. I was just developing thing in my spare time at school. The previous versions had worked on this same computer.

I've been able to get around the problem by using the outline menu.
