Short description of error
When setting the CupcakeIcing object to a collision Source: Final in the Rigid Body settings, starting the animation playback immediately crashes blender.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open the attached blend file and play the animation. Blender will crash. Note that if you change the Source to something other than Final, blender does not crash.

Can reproduce on macOS 10.14.

When I open the file, I can play the animation without a crash on Ubuntu 18.04.

Richard Antalik (ISS) changed the subtype of this task from "Report" to "Bug".

Got crash in release build on frame 1. No crash in debug.

Hi, the issue is still there (I get a crash every now and then), however the sample file is too complex. That makes it too time consuming for the development team to track down. Normally .blend files can be simplified by removing most objects and disabling settings, until the problem reveals itself more clearly.

The issue seems related to the physics area, which is currently planned to be revamped for 2.90.

Thanks for reporting it, but for all these reasons I'm closing this report now. If you can produce a simplified file please feel free to report this again.
