See attached file.. if you rotate the view, you'll notice the left half of the building (mirrored from the right half) has black faces. They are gone if it is either 1) selected, or 2) size is applied (after making single-user).

For me the right half is mirrored (negative scaled), and nothing shows in black... it draws as you would expect.
Now i cannot imagine this is opengl error? Your nvidia always functioned well.

Well, it's surprising for me too, however, here's a screenshot (attached).

Attached one screenie too.
You're now a bit on your own, what does this come from? How to get the error, how to get it away? I can ask another linuxer to load and compare.

Oh well, this is strange. I had *exactly* the same problem in (do not laugh) Doom 3, because the Doom3 Engine uses exactly the same trick to display the other half of (human) faces and other symmetrical objects.. there were black faces too, and I upgraded the drivers (or downgraded?), and it's fixed there.
I should probably try another driver version then.. if that only weren't such a pain in the ass on linux. :)

Well, the left part is not even negative scaled!

Oh, you're right. So the mirrored object actually gets displayed correctly while the original doesn't (EXCEPT if it is selected!)...
This is a generic request to test your bug report and see if it is still an issue in 2.5alpha2 if so please let me know by making a comment in this report ie 'also in 2.5alpha2' and I will add it to the 2.5 bug list.
