Event Timeline

When selecting Toggle Maximise View or Toggle Full Screen Area, you have no option to go back to your previous View, Area or Screen. I had to quit and restart Blender.

What do you mean 'does not work' ?

I tested both on macOS Mojave and they worked here.

In your comment it is implied that it *does* work but that you don't know how to go back. Which is it?

The Toggle Maximise View the shortcut Ctrl+Spacebar and the Toggle Full Screen Area the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+Spacebar
does not work at all.

Are you using the Blender 2.7 keymap?

I am using iMac Pro (13- inch, Mid 2012) and I also tried Apple USB external keyboard.
Both gave the same result. both shortcuts do not work.

Try doing File > Load Factory Settings and re-test.

No help,

But ..... I found out when I use the key combination, fn +ctrl + spacebar the Toggle Maximise View works.

The Toggle Full Screen Area the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+Spacebar does still not work even in combination with the fn key

@Jos Huntjens (Lox) check your system's shortcut keys.

On macOS Ctrl+Spacebar and Ctrl+Alt+Spacebar are used to select the next/previous input source (language).

Ctrl+Spacebar and Ctrl+Alt+Spacebar still does not work.

William Reynish (billreynish) changed the task status from Unknown Status to Unknown Status.May 23 2019, 10:09 AM

This shortcut is used by the OS.

As @Yevgeny Makarov (jenkm) says:

On macOS Ctrl+Spacebar and Ctrl+Alt+Spacebar are used to select the next/previous input source (language).
